About Us
Biblical thinking on the COVID vaccine
Christians & the Vaccine is a project of Redeeming Babel in partnership with the National Association of Evangelicals, COVID Collaborative, the Ad Council, Values Partnerships and Public Square Strategies. Our goal is to equip pastors and Christian leaders to help others apply biblical principles to this topic. Based on these principles, we encourage Christians to take the vaccine.
Redeeming Babel’s mission is to provide “biblical thinking in a confusing world,” and the COVID vaccine has certainly become one of the more confusing issues of our time. We have created a video series addressing the most common spiritual questions Christians have regarding the vaccine. We are also producing short video conversations with key Christian leaders providing their unique perspective and guidance. For pastors specifically, we have developed a Pastor’s Toolkit on the Vaccine to help them shepherd their congregations on this issue.
Curtis Chang
Founder, Redeeming Babel
As a public theologian, Curtis is on the consulting faculty of the Duke Divinity School and is a Senior Fellow at Fuller Theological Seminary. His ministry experience includes serving as a senior pastor of an Evangelical Covenant Church in California. He also has been a campus minister with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, and has done mission work in Soweto, South Africa. He has authored or contributed to multiple books, including Engaging Unbelief: A Captivating Strategy from Augustine and Aquinas (IVP).
Curtis is fueled by a passion to help Christians recognize the surprising authority and relevance of Jesus for parts of life that are often left to the secular world. His Biblical insights are enriched by his own secular career, which includes founding an award winning consulting firm to nonprofits called Consulting Within Reach. Curtis graduated from Harvard University and is a former Rockefeller Fellow.

Redeeming Babel’s mission is to provide “biblical thinking in a confusing world.” We seek to equip the large numbers of Christians who hunger for thoughtful ways to engage with the secular world in thoughtful and biblical ways.
